Who checks
Our lead editor, Andrii Dulin, checks every casino dossier before it goes live and again when its record changes: licences against the regulator's register, ACMA blocks, and every figure against the saved copy of the casino's terms. He also reads player posts before they appear.
Three kinds of fact
We mark every fact with where it comes from:
- We checked it. Seen by our crawler or an editor. It links to its source and shows when it was last observed.
- People told us. Drawn from reader posts. One post never becomes a fact on its own.
- Operator claim. Stated by the casino on its own site and not tested by us. Treat it as a claim.
Seen from Australia
Casinos show different bonuses, games and even domains to different countries. Our crawlers use Australian internet connections, and the crawler that saves casino terms refuses to run if its connection is not Australian. What we save is what an Australian visitor is served.
Rules and figures
We save the casino's bonus terms, general T&Cs and its ID-check, payout, VIP, safer-gambling and complaints rules as dated copies you can read on Casino Terms. Figures such as wagering, max bet and max win are taken from those copies and linked to the sentence they come from. Money is shown in Australian dollars, written as AUD.
The casino's own current terms always prevail over our copy. Terms change, so check the date on every copy.
Licences
A licence badge appears only when the casino states a licence on its own site and the regulator has a page for it. The badge links to that page. It is what the casino states, not our verification. We show only the latest check of each licence.
Search and traffic figures
Brand searches and site traffic are third-party estimates from Ahrefs for Australia. We show the month they refer to.
Order of the catalogue
The table opens in an order that follows our own checks: licence, ACMA actions, player complaints, withdrawal limits, wagering terms, page speed and the number of games. It is not a score or a recommendation, and we publish no points. A check we hold no data for counts neither for nor against a casino. Casinos that come out level are ordered by estimated brand searches in Australia, then by name. Payments, partnerships and clicks play no part. You can sort the table by any column.
Regular checks
- The ACMA list of blocked gambling websites is checked every day against the domains we hold.
- We search for new mirror domains of each casino every week.
- We take screenshots of each casino's home page from Australia every month, on a computer and on a phone.
- We check every link on the site every week.
Each page shows the date of the check it relies on.
Player posts
Comments and complaints come from signed-in readers. We read each post before it appears, usually within two days. We publish posts without the author's name or email. We remove posts that name private people, share personal data, advertise or abuse others. We do not settle disputes between players and casinos.
Words we do not use
We do not call a casino "best", "safe" or "certified". We are a catalogue, not a judge.
Corrections
If something on a page is wrong, tell us through Contact. We fix confirmed errors and change the date on the page.
