Warning signs

One of these is enough reason to call. You do not need to wait until things are bad.

BetStop does not cover offshore casinos

BetStop, the national self-exclusion register (1800 238 786), blocks you from licensed Australian betting sites. Online casino services cannot be licensed in Australia, so BetStop does not block the casinos in our catalogue. These steps do work with them:

1. Exclude yourself at each casino

Every casino has a responsible gambling or self-exclusion option, in your account settings or through its support chat. Ask to close your account for at least six months and ask that it not be reopened early. Do this at every casino you have an account with, including its sister sites. You can read each casino's own safer-gambling rules on our Casino Terms page.

2. Block gambling sites on your devices

Blocking apps stop gambling sites opening on your phone and computer. BetBlocker is free; Gamban is a paid alternative. Install one on every device you use.

3. Block gambling at your bank

Many Australian banks, the four biggest included, let you block gambling payments on your cards in their app. Search your banking app for "gambling block".

4. Check whether a site is blocked

ACMA keeps a list of illegal gambling websites blocked in Australia. Casino Snoop checks the domains we hold against it every day.
